CODE OF CONDUCT All Coaches of this organization
must pledge to provide positive support to the M.Y.F.L. Program in this community,
to coach each player in this program with professionalism and in the best interests
of the children involved, by following the M.Y.F.L.'s Coaches Code of Conduct: 1.
All Coaches must place the emotional and physical well being of their players
ahead of a personal desire to win. 2. All Coaches must treat each player
as an individual, remembering the large range of emotional and physical development
for each player in the same age group. 3. All Coaches must do their best
to provide a safe playing situation for their players. 4. All
Coaches must promise to review and practice basis first aid principles needed
to treat injuries of their players. 5. All Coaches must lead by example
in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship to all their players. 6.
All Coaches must be knowledgeable in the rules of youth football and must teach
these rules to all their players. 7. All Coaches must use coaching techniques
appropriate for all of the skills that they teach. 8. All Coaches must
remember that they are a youth sports coach, and that the game is for the children
not adults. 9. All Coaches must show their players that respect for your
peers is as important as any aspect of the sport. 10. All Coaches must
provide a safe and healthful environment for the youth to experience the fun of
playing, and develop the basis concepts of competition with the framework of good
sportsmanship. 11. All Coaches must involve adults in helping achieve
the above purposes whether as parents, coaches, officials, advisors or fans.
12. All Coaches must follow all guidelines and Bylaws set by the M.Y.F.L
Executive Board and Board of Directors concerning the "Play Time Requirement".
